The "Crown At Aldbourne" is a AA 4 Star accredited Inn with accomodation consisting  of 3 double and one twin bedded en-suite rooms,conference room,restaurant,main bar,sports bar and large courtyard garden. 

Overlooking the village square of Aldbourne, opposite the duck pond, the " Crown at Aldbourne" is first recorded as early as the 16th entury, although the present building is thought to be Georgian.Local historians believe that the Crown was once a small coaching Inn on the turnpike road from Cirencester to Hungerford.

Aldbourne, "stream of Aelda's people" is thought to have been named after Aeida, a Saxon who made a settlement here in the 9th century. St Micheals Church has stood in Aldbourne since the 11th century and is recorded in the Doomsday book.The ancient building has been added to over the centuries, mainly in the Gothic style.The nave dates from the 13th century whereas the roof above the nave ,the tower,vestry and porch date from the 15th century.
